im looking for a fast electronically means of payment to my friend.. he should recieve a check (that can be encashed) under his name.. or a payment to his bank account (can pay pal do that?? ). can anyone suggest a good site for that.. and very secure as well.. i dont want my credit card hacked and paying 500 dollars. its going to be my first time so i really want to make sure.. i dont really trust the electronic payment but its kinda urgent i send him the money right away :(

if you want to know.. I- from the philippines am paying my friend in the states.. so it has to work internationally

You pay the cashier, they type it into a computer and it will be ready at the other end when your friend needs it. Thats the fastest, safest way here. You may have something like that there... edit: thanks for the post LK but i just talked with my bro here.. there is a western union bank here that can send electronically but i have to pay 25% more than the required amount sigh..

I got a payment from a person in the UK via PayPal. The only thing is you both have to join and they charge a fairly stiff service charge. Nearly $2 on this end for a payment of $40 and a simular fee on the other end. But it works.
