Just need to relax, stay calm, don't blow a fuse.
But, AHHH! It's true, I'm taking my SAT's tomorrow. For all those unfamiliar with SAT, they are pretty much your ticket to college (that and your GPA, class rank too depending on which school you're talking about). I've been prepping for them for maybe the past two months, taking a class every Thurs. and pretests every other Sat. My highest was 1200, but let's hope I can do better! AIEE! Better go to bed now.. big day tomorrow.

Good luck, dude

When I took it I got so worked up I twisted my ankle pivoting and tapping my foot so much, the trick is to just keep a cool head and know you'll do badly anyway but nobody cares, just so long as you are yourself you will end up where you're going...

Good Luck Nanobyte, wish you the best. ;)

Good luck man. Bet you'll do well.

Good Luck Nanobyte.

I kinda know how you feel. I'm doing by Leaving Cert (Irish equivalent of SAT's) in 6 weeks. I'm already getting nervous. I hate exams.

Try to relax and you'll do fine. ;)

How'd they go, Nano?? Do you feel you did well?? The best score I ever met was a guy who got 1560. He didn't miss any, but left two questions out, and got a perfect on Math. He was also one of the single most worthless genuises (genuii ) I have ever met.

In college, there were folks who would wear T-shirts advertising their scores. Mocking the "250 Lb Club" shirts that athletes wore, these things would say stuff like "750 Verbal." ROFL. Geeks.

I recently paid to send my sister-in-law to classes for the SAT. I've offered to support her as best I can through college, including a promise to provide room and board if she can find a school in Chicago to her liking. I did tell her all bets were off, however, if she couldn't get at least a 1100. She did beat that score, and to her credit is taking the test again to try to do better.

Here's the deal, man. You will spend the first year of college comparing these scores with friends, and it will be a status thing for some of them. Then you will forget what you got, or almost forget, and realize that no one will ever give a s**t ever again.

Best of luck.

I wish you the best there Nanobyte. I'll be in your shoes in about a year or two, but I'm going to try and keep a cool head so you better too :D

The trick is, is to stay calm and think things through. This may not relate to the SAT's, but sometimes I got real nervous when I had to take my GQE (graduation qualifying exam), they said if you failed one part of it you had to take it over again (for so many years until you passed english and math ) But I never let it get to me, so I tried my best to stay in a confidente mood. It helped, I passed both parts my first time, so stay confidente Nano
