There is a tome in the gnoll stronghold and i cant find it. Where is it?

Is it in a cave with a carrion crawler? Can you tell me if its there because i cant kill it.

Yes, it is definately in the cave near the Gnoll Stronghold. Tome of Charisma or Constitution i believe. It's been ages since I've played on the original BG, i'm mostly playing BGII at the moment.

Use more magic if you can't kill a carrion crawler, or even send minsc berserk!!!

I'm sure that'll work.

It's a tome of charisma but it isn't located in the cave with the carrion crawler, it's actually in the cave below that one (slightly south east of it) that's got a bunch of Xvarts in it.
