McJebus, please do not create multiple copies of a thread when posting a question. It's called "crossposting" and it's considered to be rude, not to mention a violation of our Terms of Service. P.S. It sounds like a "bug". Do you have the latest patch file for the game?

If not, try going in as being "committed" through Desharik, the Pirate King, and see if that works. (You also get more XP that way!) It has no bearing on the future storyline.
