Isnt funny how people can just drift away?

There was this one person I use to talk to alot over the compurter,we never met or anyting, but we I still think we had a pretty close friendship. After a while, we started talking less and less untill finally it just stopped. Well, a little over a year ago I got an e-mail from her, and ith ad some rather shocking news in it, I wont go into details. But to suffice to say I wasnt very happy with the news and I let her know it. Of course we got rather pissed at each other and that was pretty much that. But then a little while later I sent her an e-mail apologizing and a string of e-mails went between us.

Then they stopped coming too...I never really thought much of it after that. I was wondering if there was any way of getting back in touch with her. I cant for the life of me remember her e-mail or her last name. I remember her first and middle name, but not her last. I know what state shes from (or at least where she was last time we talked) but not the town. Pretty vauge information to say the least, I know.

I dont even know exacly what I am looking for, anything I guess. Wondering if any of you knew of anything at all that could help me out a bit?

Do you know her from a messageboard? If so, backtrack to that messageboard if it still excists, or try to remember a place where both of youposted as well. Otherwise just ask around for other people who knew both of you if they still have contact with you. Otherwise I won't know either what to do

No it wasnt a message board. It was this one chat program called Virtual Places or something like that.

hmm, that makes it a lot more difficult already. You don't know someone who knows you both?

LOL, yeah I know it is difficult, I am not holding out alot of hope for it, just some late night ramblings really. But anyway, I did know a mutual friend, but I dont really know him anymore either.

If she was using a hotmail account or something, you can go searching profiles. With a first name and a state, there cant be more than a few hundred, can there? Less if its an uncommon name.

Of course, thats assuming she put her real name in her profile, which is unusual. And that shes still using that account.

Your best bet is probably that mutual friend.

I had a simular problem last year with a guy whose ex-wife had hacked his account and he had to change his e-mail. There is a web site I found that helps to find someone who has changed their e-mail address and forwards your e-mail to their new account. It also lets you set a way that others that you list can have e-mail forwarded to you. I'll try to find the web site for you.

EDIT: I don't have the url for the web site anymore, but you can put "e-mail finder" in the search thingy and you can find something like what I was trying to explain.
