To clean a toilet:
Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl. Let the "real thing" sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china.
To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers:
Rub the bumper with a crumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.

To clean corrosion from car battery terminals:
Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.

To loosen a rusted bolt:
Applying a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes.

To bake a moist ham:
Empty a can of Coca-Cola into the baking pan; wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake. Thirty minutes before the ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix with the Coke for a sumptuous brown gravy.

To remove grease from clothes:
Empty a can of Coke into a load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains.

It will also clean road haze from your windshield.

AND WE DRINK THIS STUFF!!

Actually I think the phosphoric acid will work way better than citric acid in those toilets. ;) It has a way higher acidity. ;) Hmm Iīm tempted to try coke to remove stains from clothes but I probably donīt dare to.

The wonder of soft drinks with a pH value below 3!

Hooray for phosphoric acid!

Not all true there either Craig. ;) Those "very small" amounts of phosphoric acid can lead to injuries. The stomach lining is sensitive to shifts in pH. I assume the guys at snopes arenīt scientists? Merely guys surfing the net for answers...

If all this is true, can I use coke to brush my teeth in then??
Surely that would settle a few arguments...

Kakero 03-12-2003 08:55 PM

uhh..a can of cola is more expensive than a can of asashi beer.

It is also is a 90% effective spermaside(?), with diet coke being 100% effective.
