does anyone know how stable this mod is? Are there many bugs and is it worth downloading?

chances are, if it was posted in the TeamBG "MODs" section, then i'm fairly sure it is quite stable. The ones I don't trust are the ones that are made by some dude in Ethiopia and never debugged. You can always make a backup of your Baldur's Gate II folder and install it in the original. if it screws up, just delete the old folder and rename the copy to the original folder name. that way, you don't have to uninstall/reinstall the game.
