OK, I'm all set to start BGII and I'm wondering how to import my main character from BGI/Sword Coast? All that's listed is a generic list of "Cleric, Fighter, Mage, Thief". My main character from the game was a Ranger. Where do I need to move my characters file to so it will show up in that list? Help, please!

Nevermind, I found the correct directories!!!

Export your main character. Pick the character file and drop it in your "characters" folder in SoA. If you want to keep the items, pause your new game as soon as SoA beginns, right after loading. go to your inventory and drop EVERYTHING!!! to the ground. Wait until you can control your character again, and pick everything up.
If you don't pause and drop the items, you loose them.

This works with everything-items found in ToB and SoA too if you are replaying a charcter. One way of checking is the choose your colour scheme window in the create screen-if your character is wearing armour then your items were sucessfully imported.
As such my cavaliar began SoA with Carsomyr+6 [img]tongue.gif[/img]
