First, I'd like to say that this proves I have waaaay to much free time on my hands. But, everyone registration date at the bottom seems to be either 2001, or 2002. I think I've seen a few 2000's, maybe not, but I haven't seen anyone registered around 1999 or 98.

SecretMaster, this has been said many times before; the dates start from when the brown board was started. Older members from the blue board were re-registered for the new board - not in order of age, but in order of visiting the new brown board - hence the dates.

secret, if u look at the main page of ironworks, it says it have been online since 1994... that means Ziroc had this running on the old blueboard from '94 till 2001...when 2001 rolled around the browny came into play and everyone rushed to get the coveted dates and numbers... there are some other threads that do mention who was here at the time of the bluey and now the browny [img]smile.gif[/img]

i was here during the blue board. when i reregistered for the brown board, i thought it looked kinda wierd at first since i was so used to blue. i was known as "zoratorak" back then. there were a no. of old people who used to post here. but before the blue board there was an even older board which i wasnt here yet. old memnoch was already there and i saw the first time his genie picture [img]smile.gif[/img] . i also remember cloudy as a new registered user then .... but she outposted us a long time ago :D . ah old memories [img]smile.gif[/img] . i recall Z made a link for that before... i wonder where it went?

I'm curious, why did the Blue Board change to Brown Board?

The IW website started in 1994, the forum in 95.
Originally it was a grey, 'flat', style of message board (ie, you saw the first few words of each post, instead of a title of the thread). It was grey with gold lettering.
About 96-97, the blue board came along. It was in the same 'threaded' style as this board.
Then, in 2001, the Brown board was opened. But, it then shut down for a while because of some glitch, and it was back to the blue board for a few months, until in March the Brown Board reopened, and in I think June the blue board was officially closed.
Probably months off with the dates...</font>
