In BG 1 you could find some items which increased some of your stats permanantly.. do they have something like this in SoA?

The Tomes are invluded in the game, but there are no actual instances of them. You can use the CLUAConsole (Look it up at www.tgeweb.com/ironworks, in the bg2 cheats section, cos its too tedious to explain here, the codes are BOOK01 .. BOOK06 if memory serves) or shadowkeeper (use google to find it, its a prog that allows you to edit your savegames) to get yourself one.

Alternatly it is possible to earn some stat increases in the end-game and with ToB installed it is possible to earn one point on each stat. I wont spoil it further unless you ask
