If you could, would you?

Only if my vet had a kid he was trying to put through college From what I have heard bulldogs have pretty high vet bills.

no, i wouldn't. the only reason i wouldn't is becuase my cat would sit and stare at the dog until it had self confidence issues. and a dog with confidence issues isn't as fun

What kind? There are English, American, Boston (or screwtails), French. We dog sat a English Bulldog once several years ago, by the name of Reggie. He was a great dog, but he had some health problems. that happens a lot with purebreeds.
Personally, I'd go to the pound and get a dog or visit a rescue organization. Those dogs need homes. We just adopted a Basset Hound from Basset Hound Rescue of Georgia about three weeks ago. She was found on the street wondering with a puppy. BHRG took her in and placed her in a foster home. She was fixed and dewormed. They got her healthy and then put her up for adoption. We found her on the internet and drove to the Atlanta area and got her. She is already house broken and obedience trained. She has lost all those bad puppy habits and is a really great dog. Personally, this is the only way to get a dog! |
Yep, Sir T, dog rescue programs are certainly the way to go.
Best damned dog I ever knew was found wandering outside a Shell station. Great collie/setter mix. It could read minds. I even didn't mind when it brought a bunny's head home and plopped it on the bed where my GF was sleeping - it was just trying to be nice! :D My friend who found her named her Shelley, of course. ;) |

I think bull dogs are so cute, but even if I could, I'll always take a boxer over anything. They're great dogs, and I've grown up with em all my life |
buy the bulldog, feed it human blood only, you'll have one hell of a bulldog then.

I have a friend that mated and breed English bulldogs. I'm not sure what the correct terminology is, but it's the kind with the wrinkly face, large chest and front legs, and small hind legs.
I used to have a bulldog named Buster when I was a kid, but I'm not nearly the "pets" person now as I was when I was a kid. **Waits for the other shoe to drop** :D |
