okay i just got my very own ps2 which i am sharing with my big bro (he paid 70% of it :D ) but i do have some questions. i saw that there is going to be a new everquest adventure rpg game that would need internet on the ps2.. is that possible?? how do you do that? do you need a special hardware to connect to you ps2?

Somtime this year Sony are releasing an internet add-on for PS2.
You use that to connect and play over the net. |
At any electronic's of video game store they sell an add on you can buy that will allow you to hook up to the internet and play games vs/with others. I think for each game that you have that for you have to pay a fee, as well as purchase the adapter that hooks it up. My buddy did it with Madden 2003 and he liked it, though he only did it for a month, and he got that month free I think, but he still has the adapter so he can go back any time he wants to.

If you buy an official sony network adaptor, I think you get a coupon for "Twisted Metal: Black: online" for free. I don't know if that was only when the nework adaptor was introduced or if it's still going.

do any of you people know what is the going price for that adaptor? sounds expensive :(
|
it's cheap. only $120.
|
Yoou can also use an ethernet thingy to play online with the ps2, but I'm not sure how. go to www.gamefaqs.com and check the madden 2003 (for ps2) strategies, somebody describes how to do it there.
|
120 US dollar is not exactly cheap for me yet :D but thanks for the help guys!!
|
woops, that $120 is in my country currency.
it is actually USD $40 only. that is equal to 2,163.60 PHP. |
So how many people are going to go online with their PS2?
