Where should we start? There's so much to explain that I don't think it's possible to explain over the internet. Go to www.wizards.com I think they have a guide on how to play. ;)

be innovative, do the unexpected, question everything, don't piss off the DM, or get too cocky in front of the DM. Think like your character would regardless if that is how YOU yourself would go about doing things. Don't get too greedy. Don't be too reckless, you can't rest in the middle of a dungeon like in BG. Try to avoid confrontation if at all possible. Make sure you have a theif and a healer. Have fun. ;) If you want to try some online PnP type stuff come join my thread, the Pit of Rapisdere in the Roleplay forum, all are welcome there. It isn't really an Rp more of a gladiator battle, it is just starting so you can get in from the begining. just a suggestion

It's possible to get voice comm software free of charge. I suppose you could play like that, and use possibly get some irc number generator to do the dice rolls that can't be 'fudged'.

Could be phun

Are you wanting to PnP on-line? If so,e-mail me. A friend of mine runs a forum that does nothing but on-line pnp games. I think the site is invitation only. Anyway, e-mail me for info if you like.
