You should propably return when you're of a little higher level, This guys are toughies (I'm assuming you talk about the folks who ask you to give them 1000 gold)

FelixJaeger 06-30-2002 10:21 AM

Yeh they want ma money, well ill carry on ma adventure to Umar hills...or is that full of evil toughies as well?

You should be able to handle Umar Hills. I know the group in the sewers are extremely tough, it takes some luck to beat them, thats for sure.

FelixJaeger 06-30-2002 10:51 AM

Yeh they are hard, ill go to umar and kick ass there.<marquee> </marquee>

The Umar and Windspear quests can actually be quite difficult.

In my opinion the first quests you should do in Chapter 2 are:
Shadowthief quest
De'arnise quest
Korgan quest (After you did the Shadowthief quest, to save some time)

After doing these three you should have enough money to get to the next chapter or alternatively enough XP to do the rest of the quests (recommended, as that's where the fun is)

Dundee Slaytern 06-30-2002 11:46 AM

I suggest Tradesmeet. It is relatively easy, gives a lot of Xp and a great ego booster. Not to mention that you will have access to a lot of good equipment after you complete the two main quests related to Tradesmeet.

King Crimson 06-30-2002 12:24 PM

YES! You are correct, How could I forget Trademeet?
Deffinetly an easy yet rewarding quest.

But I prefer to start with Shadow-thief guild first anyway,

I just love Edwin so much, The longer I have him in my party that happier I become.

If you do try to tackle that group down in the sewers, try webbing the area first...also, if you have it, have one of your magic users cast "Greater Malison" to lower their saving throws. If you want to "cheese" it, after webbing or entangling the area (or both), cast Cloudkill just while standing outside of their sight range, or cast a couple of fireballs in on them. Those that survive, whack them with ranged weapons. Be careful of the dwarf, though (Tarnor the Hatchetman?) because he has a throwing axe that is pretty unkind. ;)

Ice storm works great on that group as well, but I wouldn't recommend it except as last resort, because if one of the opponents gets magically "frozen", it is the same as petrification when they shatter in that they lose all their "goodies"...and this group has got some great goodies.

If you need to find these spells: Cloudkill and Greater Malison can be purchased from Galoomp the Bookkeeper (just north of Den of Seven Vales in Waukeen's Promenade), and Ice Storm can be purchased from the Shadow Thief Guild (the fence in the front lobby of the guild has a couple of those spells).

Cheers,

if you play a spell out of their sight (so that they attack you) you can take them out one by one if you walk in a passage when you see one

summon creatures (and haste) are cool too
