MSNBC reports a 37 year old man on a Venezuelan passport with a live grenade has been arrested at a London airport. It was found in his bag at Gatwick(sp?) Airport. He was on a flight from Columbia.

Arg, where is this all going to :(

It's sad to see all off this happening, it makes you wonder what we even try to get along for.

The article on thier page is here. Correction, though, they say the flight was from Spain, not Columbia. Not sure if it's the article or the TV that's mistaken.
According to the article, there were also 2 arrests near Heathrow today also, but they haven't released details on them.

The scariest thing is that he got on the British Airways' plane in Columbia with the live grenade in his bag, and it wasn't detected until after he departed that plane in London. It just proves it's impossible to catch everything even if that thing should be obvious. :(

North Terminal (where they found it, I assume) is closed, South Terminal is functioning normally. A controlled explosion took place.

This is what I've learned from Sky News... :(

Harley, I'd say your printed report is more likely to be correct.

When I heard it on TV, it was "BREAKING NEWS", and so they've probably fleshed it out some more, or maybe the flight originated in Columbia and stopped in Spain before continuing to London?

I'm sure we'll be hearing more details through the day.

Yeah, well now the MSNBC website is saying the plane was from Columbia and the man had a Venazualan(sp?) passport. Seesh, this article must've been written by the MS part of MSNBC, hehe. Sorry, couldn't resist making the slam. Don't hurt me
