What I'm referring to, is the AI in MechAssault.
I'm on the second last level in elite mode (hardest difficulty).
I'm at the very END of the level, full health and upgraded weaponry, and little briefing boy comes over the telecom to tell me that I have to make it for the gate. So that's what I do, except the gate never opens, and I die.. All that time spent being precise, taking out mechs with minimal damage, for nothing; and all because this idiot doesn't mention, "Oh, and make sure you kill the remaining mechs."

I hate it when you only hear what you are supposed to do next ONCE. On Golden Sun, I had to basically skip a very important message so I could save and quit. Now that person only wishes me luck, and the mind read skill doesn't help either.

I think that all Microsoft games have a messed up AI in the mech games, I think it's there just to make you play the mission over and test your long term memory and patience >_<

GRRR!!!

And in Halo, cortana (computer person, advisor) always mutters stuff to herself so you can never know what shes' saying. I turned the volume all the way up and I still couldn't make out what she was talking about
