Yes and Yes.

Unless you have ToB installed, or your party leader has a Charisma of 18+, Minsc and Edwin will end up fighting.

Visit Baldurdash, and go to the tweaks/cheats-section. There you'll find a good little tweak called the Happy Group Scripts. Download that one, and your mixed alignment-party will work as hell. ;) </font>

when i first got the game, i never played anything like it, and still dont fully know most stuff. but even I knew lower was better (i think)

you cna have a mixed alignment party, but some people will end up fighting..i wont spoil it but certain members dont get a long and fight. but with that happy party script delee makes em all happy happy joy joy
