Do you mean a public ISP?
My friend is a tafe teacher and has a @nsw.tafe.edu.au (or something like it) address... |
I don't know.

BUMP! Elaboration??
|
Why don't we hijack this thread?
Did we win the 5th cricket test? Or did England (shock, horror, nightmare) |

Sorry about the O/T Lennoncook - think of it as a bump. |
Yeah, I mean a public ISP... I got an email from an IP I traced back to TAFE NSW..
TAFE *should* be closed for the holidays, which only leaves two possibilities - an ISP or a hacker. The email was definately sent by someone who I know in person, and noone who would write this could have the ability to hack a TAFE server. I don`t think. |
If its anyone who could hack into a server deeply enough to send emails from it, I dont think youll be able to identify them online. In person is another matter, whoever sent that email to you will likely show himself sooner or later.
And when that happens - Nail. Club. Pain. :D |
When I was at Wollongong uni - they didn't provide an ISP as such to students, but the email address we were given was a POP3 and could therefore be used at home, work etc...as well as uni.
They are probably doing the same thing with the tafensw one... EDIT: IIRC tafes often have summer courses, therefore the computer labs may well be available too. Many possibilities besides a hack. [ 01-07-2003, 08:12 AM: Message edited by: Leonis ] |
