-   -   LA Lakers- the end of a dynasty ? (http://www.ironworksforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=83180)

Last night they fell to the Timberwolves 96-80. After 25 games, their record shows 10-15. Okay, they started the season without Shaq, that was too much for them, but even after his return they keep losing. Teams like Dallas and Sacramento, and even San Antonio are looking much better at the moment. Will this be the end of a dynasty ? It's too early to say it out loud, but i for one, hope they continue this slump. :D

You will all bow before the Celtics, foolish mortals. Pierce and Walker are just unstoppable lately. It's funny how there's been a complete reversal of roles in the NBA over the last few years. Take the Lakers and the Bulls. They were absolute top notch a while ago, and now they struggle to win their games. Now it's teams like the Celtics and Kings that are making the headlines. Good for the game ;)

You know how I feel on the subject, johnny. ;) I hate them Lakers.

The Celtics, Tristan? While they have two awesome players, they lack a lot in the frontcourt, which is why the West has been dominating the East lately. Besides, if they don't shoot well, they are out of any game.

I didn't see the game myself last night, 3 AM was a little too much, but i saw a rerun just now. They don't just play bad, they are awful. It looks like they are all suffering from overweight or something, exept for Bryant. They're just too slow right now, even Shaq looks kinda helpless. It's kind of a strange sight to be honest.

The Lakers are looking really weak right now, everyone other than Shaq and Kobe, isn't doing much of anything.

I think they're just fooling everyone. If they can rank #8th in western conference, they will be playing Sacramento or Dallas in the first round, which means they will only have to play a max of 5 games against the best NBA team. It's all tactics. :D

I really like Shaq and Kobe, but the rest of the supporting cast are really boring basketball players. So I don't mind seeing them out of the playoffs. That way exciting, uptempo teams like Dallas, Sacremento and others can go further in the playoffs. Run and gun, score 100+ points a game, that's the way basketball should be, especially in the regular season.

It's just not the same around here since Chick Hearn passed away

Yeah, that's a shame, although i always thought he was a bit boring compared with Ray Clay for instance, or that guy in Orlando (don't know his name).
