Gore won't run in 2004
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Former Vice President Al Gore has decided not to run for president in 2004, a senior Gore adviser said Sunday. Gore would have been the likely front-runner in the Democratic field, even though many party activists have said privately they hoped he wouldn't run. The rest at: http://www.cnn.com/2002/ALLPOLITICS/....ap/index.html This is a good sign...I think. Mark |

That makes last night's "over the top" SNL appearance make more sense. No reason not to have some real fun if he wasn't going to run. :D

Did you see that recent poll that asked who Democrats wanted to see in 2004?
With Gore in the list at 40% no one else broke out of the single digits, but taking Gore out of the mix only raised Dasche to about 12% while the rest remained in the single digits. Al Sharpton got 3% either way, and says he'll make an announcement in January or February...lol. |
I'm thinking Kerry or Dean...not Leiberman.
Leiberman's voice sounds like a cartoon character I remember from when I was a kid. It was a Hanna Barbera cartoon called Lippy the Lion and Hardy Har Har. Hardy Har Har was a Hyena that never laughed and had a sort of whiney voice that Lieberman sounds like. Mark |
oh darn.

To be honest, I can't say just how glad about this. I'm relieved, of course...I like to think the odds of him winding up in the Oval Office are now as close to nil as they can be. Then again, it might have been fun watching him run another wooden, ill-conceived and ineptly-executed campaign against a popular wartime incumbant. Then he could get stomped and quit whining about how "The People" really wanted him and he got robbed... ...then again, maybe he figured this out and THEN decided not to run. ;) |

LOL...And Gregster...If he took a look at any of the file footage of himself in the 2000 elections...I dont see how he could have failed to notice the Tree-ness of his 'personality' in his debates. :D |
good maybe there will be a candidate I would actually vote for.
