First off, hi everyone! ^_^ I'm new around here, so I thought I'd introduce myself first. Okay, now my questions. I'm trying to get the little gem thingie for the actor group and I was wondering a) I refused to let him join, and he dissapeared. Can I continue this quest? I have another game saved close to that point, so it wouldn't be a hassle to go back and get him, but is it nessicary? b) when I was fighting the wizard and salamanders, I pressed a button and now when the game is unpaused, I don't have the handy quick things, like the characters portraits and stuff. I want that back, but how do I get it? Help?

NO, haer'dalis is not neccesary to complete the quest.

For the second point, salamanders can be hurt severely with cold/fire (for fire/frost salamanders respectively). ALso a decent level Tank (Tank as in rock hard fighter, not an actual tank) should be able to take one in melee. To take the mage open up with all your missile weapons and dont let him get any spells off. Cast Magic Missile (Newbies often overlook this spell and assume its useless cos its level one. This is a mistake) to get past stoneskins.

You might need to level up, theres no penalty for leaving the quest and coming back later.

ON the latter point you added after I posted, I think the hotkey is H to hide/restore the entire interface.
