Oh The Mockery! The Travesty!
War Criminal Henry Kissenger has been appointed to head the investigations into sept 11th which of course means it’s flawed from the start given who is presiding over it.

He has been involved in assassination, The Overthrow of democracies, Genocide, Murder and terrorism, not to mention being responsive for nearly half of combat deaths in Vietnam of American soldiery and countless millions of civilians.

As you can see, to appoint him to this post is rather like appointing Osama Bin Laden to investigate terrorism in Northern Ireland.

A few of kissengers sins;

VIETNAM
Kissinger scuttled peace talks in 1968, paving the way for Richard Nixon's victory in the presidential race. Half the battle deaths in Vietnam took place between 1968 and 1972, not to mention the millions of civilians throughout Indochina who were killed.

CAMBODIA
Kissinger persuaded Nixon to widen the war with massive bombing of Cambodia and Laos. No one had suggested we go to war with either of these countries. By conservative estimates, the U.S. killed 600,000 civilians in Cambodia and another 350,000 in Laos.

BANGLADESH
Using weapons supplied by the U.S., General Yahya Khan overthrew the democratically elected government and murdered at least half a million civilians in 1971. In the White House, the National Security Council wanted to condemn these actions. Kissinger refused. Amid the killing, Kissinger thanked Khan for his "delicacy and tact."

CHILE
Kissinger helped to plan the 1973 U.S.-backed overthrow of the democratically elected Salvador Allende and the assassination of General René Schneider. Right-wing general Augusto Pinochet then took over. Moderates fled for their lives. Hit men, financed by the CIA, tracked down Allende supporters and killed them. These attacks included the car bombing of Allende's foreign minister, Orlando Letelier, and an aide, Ronni Moffitt, at Sheridan Circle in downtown Washington.

EAST TIMOR
In 1975 President Ford and Secretary of State Kissinger met with Indonesia's corrupt strongman Suharto. Kissinger told reporters the U.S. wouldn't recognize the tiny country of East Timor, which had recently won independence from the Portuguese. Within hours Suharto launched an invasion, killing, by some estimates, 200,000 civilians.

Warning, Nitpick of the Day!

I think you mean responsible, not responsive.

For the rest, I'll leave the debate to those of you who still aren't tired of it... ;) I'm kidding! Still an important topic, just not one I am going to participate in right now, except for this one gratuitous nitpick.

What is sad is people in Laos are still dying today from bombs my nation illegally dropped over 30 years ago. Kissinger is a prime candidate for a war crimes tribunal if you ask me.

Between 1964 and 1973 the United States conducted a secret air war, dropping over 2 million tons of bombs and making tiny Laos the most heavily bombed country in history. Millions of these 'cluster bombs' did not explode when dropped, leaving the country massively contaminated with 'bombies' as dangerous now as when they fell a quarter century ago.

Bombies examines the problem of unexploded cluster bombs through the personal experiences of a group of Laotians and foreigners and argues for their elimination as a weapon of war. Unfortunately they are still a standard part of the US arsenal and were dropped both in Kosovo and now Afghanistan.

I think there are definitely better, less evil people for the job. I have no doubt this guy will get the job done but their could be a lot of innocent scapegoats when his final analysis is complete. But maybe all their concered is placing the blame somewhere.

I can see the headlines now: "Kissenger blames Canada, Toronto bombed, 8 million Canadians slaughtered"

Now now now, you know that war crimes charges aren't for patriotic westeners. They are reserved for aging Nazi's and Japanise with the odd East European and a truck load of Arabs. What I'm saying is, we run the courts so we won't try ourselves!

I thank God for my freedom but i wish it wasn't bought with the lives of innocent people. It seems like western leaders would like to dominate the world through an iron fist, strange seen as they shout the message of freedom wherever they go..

Yes, they shout the word freedom but this is to appease the masses and allow themselves to be relected. But when they shout freedom it is a half truth they are not lying. What they are really saying is "My freedom to do whatever I bloody like", at everyone elses expense of course. I try not to get to delusional about Freedom rants or the freedom I actually have or want for that matter. Equality is much better policy. I would like to have the bloody freedom to go home for the holidays without having to pay more than the cost to fly to the UK. It is pretty bad when travel in your own country cost more than to go abroad at half the distance.

Henry Kissinger
How I'm missing yer
You're the doctor of my dreams
With your crinkly hair and your glassy stare
And your machiavellian schemes
I know they say that you are very vain
And short and fat and pushy but at least you're not insane
Henry Kissinger
How I'm missing yer
And wishing you were here.
Henry Kissinger
How I'm missing yer
You're so chubby and so neat
With your funny clothes and your squishy nose
You're like a German parakeet
All right so people say that you don't care
But you've got nicer legs than Hitler
And bigger tits than Cher
Henry Kissinger
How I'm missing yer
And wishing you were here.

I’m allergic to War Criminals being involved in national politics.
