Okay, first off I am not sure if this is correct forum but i need answeres quick.

My mom went to a store and saw on the box of Everquest: planes of Power. That you play it for 2 months free and then you have to pay to play it or something like that. My mom says it said "Additional fees required" because its an Internet game or whatever. (I am reffering to the Everquest with that ogre/orc on the front with orangish background)

Is it strictly internet or can you play on the computer without inducing the fee's of playing on the internet if you do?

as far as i know everquest, and all its subsequent expantions, is only a multiplayer game. The additional fees besides the subscription fee they mention would be your normal internet fees, like phone bills if it isn't a free number and such.

yeah i bought everquest thinking it would be cool game only to find out you have to pay monthly sigh... it can only be for multiplayer nothing else. i played it for a short while though.. its cool!!

Multiplayer Only.
Play it for 6months - get addicted, then quit when you realise it :D
It's a great game but a certain amount of self-constrant is essential, in that you know whats important and what isnt, e.g your coursework(mark towards final grade) versus a Kedge Keep Raid......
Just eb sure to limit yourself a bit in it

Oh. So the fees it mentions is phone bills and such? You don't actually pay anything to play online? Okay then.
So it seems to me that they only put that on so idiots do sue them because they have no internet connection.

No - there is a monthly fee, then your internet connection on top of that. EQ is one of those masively multip[layer online thingys with a persistent world.

Never played it myself, but its widely known as evercrack because its so addictive to a certain type of personality. People have died playing this game.

My advice - put it down, and stay well away.

it's an interent game
you will receive a choice of payments: monthly, 6 months, year
yes it's additive, but set the timer by you and you'll be all right.

I had set it down.. but will come back to it ... neeners

Blast. I don't care about addictions, I'm already riddled with addictive games. I was just asking about the fee's. Which is about $20 a month more or less, so I won't get it.

IT is a ONLY internet online pay for play game!

The Lilarcor 11-23-2002 04:29 PM

So you only have to pay if you hit Play Game. What other options are there then?
