Hey everyone, i need to know when did the children's day begin and what were(are) its objectives, please tell me and soon, i have less that 45 minutes :(

Wasn't it a day for education? Or maybe the needy children... now is this for the world or a country in particular? Or is it just for a foundation like UNICEF?
