ok i was playing around with the desktop color and now all the sudden the text boxes in are the same color as what i made the backroud be. Help how do i change the text boxes back to being clear? I'm running XP home in the clasic view.

Try this:

Right click on a blank desktop (no windows are up), left click on properties. Click on "Appearance" and this should give you the option of changing the color of your text windows.

Try selecting a colour scheme - that will set all elements to a default color. Hopefuly that will include the text boxes.

That colour is controlled by a registry value - I dont know which one off hand, I can get it if pressed.

click the appearance tab in the Dispay Properties menue and click the advanced button next to the font size, it might be in there... the default is nothing selected at all for color...
