How much do they charge? I'm extremely hesitant to buy a connection for my Xbox, since I *prefer* to play with friends not strangers.

*shrug* Some of us do not have other gaming friends that either: a-live close enough by, b-have a xbox, or c-both.

The live started kit is $50 and comes with a year of service and a communactor headset, for voice chat during the games.

So far, everyone I have played with has been pretty cool. YMMV

Um , why would I want and X-box when I can play mechwarrior online from my computer and save the $50 for the starter kit.

Now to get waaaaaaaaayyyy of topic: If you like mech warrior online you can get a huge increase in weight allowance for weapons and ammo by dropping almost all of your leg armor. No one ever shoots for the legs anyway.

And how is the connection? What I mean is, is the server ever down?
