Ok this is happened.

I was walking in the goverment district with my evil party, and my beefed up sorcerer. Anyway, I save Viconia and those fanactics attack, well then i go over to the goverment buidlign and the amnsih guards are attacking me!! I walk over to the prision but those guards ain't.

Anyway I need to get in the gov bulding so I fight my way through the amnish guards, no tohers attack me. I do my buisness and leave the gov building, walk voer to prision. I'm looking around the screen for a dead fanatics loot when the prison guards attack me!

Anyway, si this a bug or did I do somethign I shouldn't have?

*** By the way, I used magic to rescue Viconia, and no cowled wizards showed up, hehe***

I'm at a 6, that doesn't seem low enough to get hunted.

Generally, your reputation needs to be < 5 in order to attract the attention of the authorities. Did you accidentally cast an area of effect spell near the guards?

Well I did use my staff of the magi fireball lgithing mix, hmmm, maybe it hit the guards.

That's exactly what happened then.

Run away, go to the docks district (where there are no guards), rest at the Sea Bounty for like 24 hours, and they should have forgotten about it.

Or...kill more guards, get more XP, etc. ;)

Didn't work. I wne tbakc after 32 hours and they still wanted toa attack me,and worse yet i'm now adespised character.

Oh well, I'll just start over again, no big whoop

Dang. :( Running and waiting 24 hours usually works. Maybe you have to leave the city, like go to Umar Hills or Trademeet and then return.

Either that or after you got them mad, you killed so many guards that your rep dropped and now you're automatic target. (BTW, you can sacrifice coinage at a Temple and get that back to some extent). ;)

You can always just keep killing the guards. Seems that that would be the appropriate course of action for an outlaw.
