When's the next Ashes Test?
;) |
Quote:
Then next February England are expected to play the 'Socceroos' (What happened? were all the good names taken?) A whupping#'s coming your way! :D (Anyone seen Memnoch?) ;) BTW - George Gregan, the aussie scrum-half went home at the weekend for the birth of his child. I hope he wasn't performing the delivery himself! 'Quick ball George!' |
Touchy! ...er...oops, I mean ...Touché!
:D Nice one. |
First time ever that we will play football against your guys on English soil - should be a game to look forward to. Bit of a come down though - we were used to beating Brazil and France a couple of years ago - couldn't we get a game for the Socceroos with some really tough opposition? A Uruguay rematch perhaps?
(thought I would get that last one in before the predictable Brits used it :D ). [ 11-13-2002, 10:03 AM: Message edited by: Davros ] |

Healy tells Poms to aim lower Former Test wicketkeeper Ian Healy has urged England to "lower their expectations" and "forget about winning" the Ashes cricket series. England arrived in Australia again promising to be competitive but was thumped by 384 runs in the opening Test at the Gabba. Healy urged England to be realistic and, come the second Test in Adelaide starting on November 21, just concentrate on playing the best cricket they could. "They have just got to lower all their expectations and start to try and play well and play to their ability level and forget about winning and losing and bouncing back, just get out there and play," he told the ABC's website __________________________________________________ ___________________ I think what my old mate "Heals" is suggesting is that England look beyond the gold - a silver works just as well and is nothing to sneeze at ;) |
