I've been reading through some spells, using Shadow-keeper ... but they dont allways say what the spell does.
So i download Infinity Explorer, to get the abilities of each spell. Only one problem, i dont get what they say, Example: (not the right stats and such, just an example) SPWI589 - Wing buffet ( shadow keeper) I look up SPWI589 in Inf.XP. , look at what it does: 0D3 Sleep Make sound etc. :D Im not really good with computers .. so .. how do i know what effects a spell has, i know the effects of wingbuffet ... but i wouldnt have been able to gather that from the Information Inf.XP gives me ... How do you do it ? :D |
Get Near Infinity. Check up the spell there, and read the spells special abilities. ;)

LoL .. ok .. Near infinity is even more puzzling actually :D
Looking up Wing buffet SPIN695.spl : With " description" it has the description of -Non-Detection- and .. now the good part .. spell ability : ( ready for this ) Effect:Type: Play sound (174) Targettype: Targetself(1), Power: 0 etc. Effect:Type: Wing Buffet (235) Targettype: Targetpresettarget (2), power: 0, Distance 30 and so on ... Well, it does make a little sense ... being that the Wing Buffet-effect, has an effect of changing the distance of Targetpresettarget by 30 i think .... But what does Targetprestettarget mean ? That the dragon chooses his target ? Or that the target is allready preset by AI ? , so the dragon allways targets -Me- , if that's preset ? EDIT: owh . .and, ehr, ... in the description of " summon Death Knight" -spell , one of the effects is -Use EFF (177)- .. I know there are EFF files, but none are named (177), does this mean EFF-file nr. 177 ? P.s. Im a REAL pain in the ass right now :D [ 06-15-2002, 04:44 PM: Message edited by: daan ] |
STOP THINKING SO HARD!! I'll tell you what wing buffet does! it stuns the target and moves him/her/it in a direction and distance specified by the parameters in the specific spell. For instance, Dragons can do Wing Buffet away from themselves, but the spell Repulse Undead does the same thing, and so does the throwing axe K'logarath. you can set the spell to attract the target instead of repulsing it, too. and don't be such a whiner. :D
