What is the best Chainmail in the game?
|
IMHO it is the bladesingers chain+4 that can later be upgraded in ToB giving immunity to normal weapons and +5 bonus to AC in total.
EDIT:The jester's chain+5 is good as well. [ 06-15-2002, 05:56 AM: Message edited by: Helspanth ] |
Jesters Chain is +4, not +5. ;)
Anyway, I agree with Helspanth. The Bladesinger Chain +4, later Aslyferund Chain +5, is very good. Unfortunetly, you find it only near the end of SoA. :( |
For a complete look at the various types of Chainmail Armours in SoA/ToB, click here.
That said, a good early Chainmail Armour is the Mail of the Dead +2. You get it even before Chapter 1. Crimson Chain is very good too, at least until ToB. |

My mistake.Sorry |
the White Dragon Scale. strange as you can get. It looks like chain, has stats like splint mail, is usable by next to everyone, allows thieving skills with no penalties, gives 50% cold resistance, CASTS Cone of Cold 3x/day, and has the ultra-low AC of -2. (my personal mod allows spellcasting and is compatible with Amulets/Rings/Cloaks of Protection... like the old Red Plate. heehee!)
Crimson chain has the lowest SoA AC (0), but the Bladesinger allows spellcasting, is usable by lots, and gives only minor thieving penalties. |
*cough*
Except the White Dragon Scale is a ToB item. Not sure if brad_kav has ToB. |
God, all these good items want em to run into Shadowkeeper head first
