I'm pissed off. You know why I'm pissed off? I'll tell you why I'm pissed off. I said this in another thread, but I doubt anybody replied to it. Here's why I'm pissed off.
I just spent a sh*tload of time working on a novelization of Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows Of Amn, only to just find out that SOMEBODY'S ALREADY DONE IT! And the novel probably sucks a**, too! Essentially what I'm saying is that I just got screwed over big time, and whoops! Oh, look! There goes a big ol' chunk of my life down the drain! Dammit, my writing career just got f**ked. God, I wish I could swear on these forums instead of having to censor myself like this!
So that's why I'm pissed off: my writing career just got f**ked by some a**hole who wrote some sh*tty novel about freakin' Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn before me. DAMMIT!!

Idea, either make a parody of BG2, (Like Bored of the Rings)

Or alter that book and make it an original fanatasy story, just edit the stuff that referrs to BG2, cause your is porbably better, BG2 novel sucked a**

Make your protagonist a shopkeeper-turned-adventurer and make Irenicus a crazed kensai-mage trapped in a rabbit's body. Make Bodhi his really busty nurse/assistant. Then reverse all the names (Eirea, Ariehaj, Ragylav, etc.) and set it in your backyard, about 3 years in the future, after alien droids have conquered the world.
That ought to both keep the integrity and validity of your story, and keep the copyright officials away. [img]graemlins/evillaughter1.gif[/img] :D

Or, you could do like Kevin Dorner (here) and post it in its original form on the web. as long as you aren't making money off it, it's not violating any laws. (unless you use the BG, Bioware, Black Isle, WotC, D&D, etc. logos anywhere... so don't)

Im just surprised why you didnt know there was a novel. Every game like this gets a novel. The novel ships with the game!!

And forget about censoring your swearing. You forgot have of it already!
