For some reason my compurter has stopped reading CDs. It started when my brother put in a CD he burned off his compurter, but it wouldnt read that one, he said probably just because this compurter wouldnt read burned CDs. So I didnt think too much about it. Then I put in IWD 2 and it wouldnt read that. So I tried various other CDs and it wouldnt read any of them! I cleaned them and everything, still no go.

I had this problem a few months ago with a diffrent compurter, but that compurter was pretty old. But this one fairly new. Help anyone?

Have you got all the latest drivers? That could be the problem, or a virus or something, maybe?

Try taking out the r and see what happens then. Maybe it's having a personality crisis? ;)

Try another CD Rom if you are able to. Before my previous CD Rom died on me it began not reading CD's too well and funny enough, IWD2 was one of the ones it didn't want to read at all.

Uninstall/Reinstall the drivers- most likely they`ve been corrupted by something.

Either the drivers or the Lens of the CD is dirty... if it is dirty... too dirty not to read you have to have it checked by professionals... sadly

You can sometimes clean it yourself. Either open the drive and clean it with iso-propyl alcohol (if your nuts) or buy a 5 quid cd-cleaner. Any will do, mines is marke PSX but works fine in everthing. Never use one of those on a CD_R though, the lens is to delicate.

I didn't know that. Thanks!
