Sir Exxon 10-27-2002 09:43 AM

To make a long story short, I have a virus on my machine, which have eaten up some of my Norton AntiVirus 2000-files. So, in order to get rid of this virus, I have borrowed Norton AntiVirus 2002 from a friend. However, for this to be installed, I need first to uninstall Norton 2000. But, the virus have eaten up a file called nav95.isu, which is required for uninstalling. So, I need this file to (hopefully) get rid of the virus.
So I was thinking if any of you nice people with Norton AntiVirus 2000 could mail me that file? nav95.isu
It will only work if you have Windows ME, though.
To summarize: Can anyone with WindowsME and Norton AntiVirus 2000 send me the file nav95.isu?
A huge thanks on forehand.

I don't have that file or NAV either but I think this page might just do the trick for you and if not, then until someone comes up with the file.

Sorry, I have XP with Mcafee. Good luck

Could you maybe just delete the files then edit the registry? BTW I don't have ME, so can't help you sorry.

I managed to unistall it, editing the Registry file.
I now have NVA 2002, who found no infected files on my computer. This sounds incorrect, I know something is up here...

Stupid question, but have you updated the Norton software with the latest DAT files, so that it's looking for the latest viruses?

Stupid question, but surprising how often it happens. Problem is Exxon is also having a problem getting to any site (outside .no and .tk) sites without IP, so norton may fail on update.

Of course, it may be nothing to do with a virus. I hate ME with a vengeance, so I would advise a format and re-install win98. At least thats mostly stable.

ME has system restore like XP doesn't it?

Check the Norton's site first.

Here's what I did recently looking for something (which thankfully I didn't have). Disable System Restore, boot up in safe mode, and then try the scan.
