It's some kind of webtracker and annoying as crap.
Ad-aware, would only detect the cookie(s) it constantly replaced, and Norton's anti-virus didn't detect it as a virus. It causes scripting errors related to www,1stairfare.info or .com(don't visit the site) when going online and causes dozens of pop ups. I was able to use ZoneAlarm to negate it, and forgot about it, but when I booted without ZA for a "project" I was working on, I was reminded about how annoying that sucker is. I finally found how to get rid of it through a google search, but I was wondering if anyone else had seen it and knew exactly what it was? [ 10-24-2002, 05:04 PM: Message edited by: Ronn_Bman ] |

Thanks Magik.
I believe I've got it taken care of by removing a {trojan?) dll file, but I'd be interested to know what exactly that suckers been doing on my machine. |
