Early this week I became engaged to be married to my longtime girlfriend, I popped the big "?" and got "oh sh*t!, yes!" for an answer.
Later this week we found out our little orange kitty, Twila, has a tumor in her lung and has perhaps 2-6 months of suffering-free life left before the big sleep is the humane option. :( All in one week! I'm happy, I'm sad, I dunno know what I am? alas.... |
Congrats on the engagement!
Don't mourn the kitty! There is happiness to be found in the quality time you have spent with her. I know it is no consolation but a good short life is better than a long and miserable one. *hugs* You have my sympathy. |

Thanks Ya'll!
I have never had to look forward to putting a family member asleep, so the thought disturbs me alot, but my mind is set to put on my best game face and enjoy all the time I can while Twila graces us with her presence on this earth. At least I'm not in it all by my lonesome! Scott |
In a few months you should try again with another kitten. I had a similar experience a while back (My Dedication), and I am happy once again with my new kitten, Chase. Cats are great companions, and another will only lightened up your slightly-dampened life. Hope it all works out well!
