How do I enter the chat room. When I enter it says user name philip is already in use then it tries it again with philip 2, 3 and then locks. I tried to enter with my d&d character's name (garret tealeaf) which it tried to change in garret tealeaf 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and then says I have to use another name. Are these names really all taken or is there something wrong?

Sounds like a major problem but of what kind, well, that is beyond me.
I just tried to get in with Phiip and it said it is already in use but got in with Philip2 so I dunno! [img]graemlins/1dizzy.gif[/img]

I was wondering how we can all connect when given a list of different servers.
The only one I can connect to is washington dc.

Does anyone know if connecting through the different servers take us to the same chat and/or how come whenever I can connect I am always all by myself?

EDIT: I tried with garret tealeaf and it already in use past number 10 (I disconnected) but I did get in using GarretTealeaf, which it shortened to GarretTea so maybe with the space, it is only recognizing the name garret?
Try it with no spaces and see what I mean. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I have the same thing happen, it seems to connect me to a server either in texas or dc, and i am the only one, so what's the point? I can chat with myself alot faster w/o typing :rolleyes:

Just checked the chat link again, and it is frozen on IW/Guest as nickname, and the channel is Ironworks Gaming General Discussions, told me I had to reload the applet, then gave me an error msg and shut down explorer!?! phooey

Which chat server you connect to is irrelevant (cept if your on another server then theoretical you might recieve things in a slightly different order, but these days that only effects things said with 50ms or so, so who cares?), you still see everybody in #ironworks.

Philip, try getting in with a random string, thats not likley to be taken. If that works you just got unlucky, if it dosent you have a problem.

Just logged in, bounced out of dallas and atlanta and pheonix are down. Washington is, as always, the only one that let me in. Chat rooms empty.

/whois reveals nobody called garrettea and one person called philip.

Thanks I think I didn't logged in Washington so I try that tomorrow.
