"All your base are belong to us" WHAT THE HECK DOES IT MEAN!!!??!? I've seen it so many times before and never knew what the heck it ment.Can someone please help me with this?!

I can't really remember the site.It has been a long time and since I've seen it,but I was going through bored.com and saw something saying "All your base are belong to us."

Oh, I know a little about it. Piestrider told me that it has become a catchprase out of some cheesy old game, and that was the message that you got when you had lost. Now they throw it around to prove what cool geeks they are.

I remember that phrase to!! I dont remember where though...

Hmm...I heard it on a manga show, now I come to thinlk of it, Called Gundam Wing. Damn good show. Liked the kid Duo the most. *ahem* side tracked 8cough*

Then let me enlighten you! ZERO WING - old cheesy game. Japan decided to export it to English-speaking countries. To make it more exciting they added an intro which they used some crappy translator for. So "Your military bases belong to us now!" came out as "All your base are belong to us!"

One gaming site started photoshopping (doctoring using Photoshop) images to include this phrase. It became a craze. Someone then put it into one slideshow and added a soundtrack incorporating elements from Zero Wing's theme music.

All your Base are belong to us is from an old japanese Sega games I don't remember the name of, but when it was translated to english... well it was done very badly. And this phrase resurfaced as a supposed sentence in Starwars episode 2

I dont know either of those sources, and I know that at one time was annoyed by that phrase poping up alot in a game. More recent than Zero Wing. Maybe they threw it in the game as a joke. Im thinking maybe Total Annihalation. I dont know. It annoyed me then, now its annoying me again.
