The Wall Street Journal says part of its(Sponge Bob) reported $500m (£322m) merchandise sales have come from gay men snapping up branded toys, lunch boxes and even thongs.

I could see selling ripped underpants based on the "oops! I ripped my pants episode". I mean after all they already have "oops! I ripped my pants t-shirts", but thongs?

I must admit, he is one of the few cartoon chars that have ever made me laugh properly :D

This is my little girls favorite cartoon, and mine too! :D When it comes on she runs to get me, and I actually pause my game to watch it with her.

Being an old comic book superhero fan, I was completely hooked when the first episode I saw was with Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy.

Thank goodness she's old enough to watch cartoonS I enjoy...um...er...I mean, that I can stand ;)
