MY SCHOOL HAS BLACKLISTED THE IRONWORKS!

Do you know that they blacklisted the Ironworks because a lot of people go on it?

The Head of ICT went mad when the Deputy Head blocked everyones favourite sites! They have blocked all forums (he likes forums), web based e-mail (he likes web based E-Mail) and streaming audio/video (he likes straming audio/video!).

He said he'll go mad at the deputy head to get everything unblocked!

ARRGGGH!! I HATE MY SCHOOL!

hee hee hee wait a few days when we go to "Escape Gaming" and he'll have to figure that out again!

Sounds like you have a deputy head kind of like Michael Palin on a rampage in the school scene in Monty Python's "The Meaning of Life"! ;)

ROFL!!! Yeah! When we make the Escape...he'll be the one the joke is on!

that is so true larry, i didn;t even think of that...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

that's bad.
At my school I have to give a pass to use the computers. They record your name and when you used which computer. I think they look in the history to see which sites (we may only use them for homework and they don't count IW or ecsape as homework :( and if too many 'wrong'sites are being visited they'll block nearly all sites containing certain things with the chance of blocking sites that are interesting for your homework) I visited but I don't know if that's the only method. I'm not going to try it out since I have to pick up my pass by the head if I get caught.
Just like some of my class mates (explain this: visiting adult sites for a economy project about how many prostitutes in developing countries get paid compared to rich countries. Has absolutely nothing to do with economy so they got a bad grade and had to go to the head)

edit: not that I would look on that kind of sites but I think tehy don't think it's much a difference if I visite IW (escape) instead

hehe funny, my highschool had a filtering program called bess, that blocked out sights that were 'inapproperiate' for us to go to, forums, e-mail, porn, vilance, ect, but for some reason it didn't block forums like it was ment to :D hehe anyway your prob. will most likely be fixed when the name is changes and you can clear the history, depending on access rights, all you have to do is right click on the hard drive and go to properties and go to the disk cleanup to delete the cashed pages, i think it might even clear the history too.

I don't know if they only look in history or have one or another program running or the server recording such things but I'm not going to test it. Don't want to get blocked my acces to school computers since I'll probably be working more and more on them

I'm sure Cloudy will be along soon with her trademark "Education is better than IW" speech :D
But really, it is! What? Why are you laughing? I'm serious, dammit! :D

LOL HAHA my computers let us on IW no prob. Plus we can clear the history. But there is something scary. there is a part of your computer that records everything and cannot be deleted. :D sucks for you guys.

Wow, my design teacher doesn't even care, as long as we churn out projects at a decent rate. Ie: He gives us three months to make a house, you make it in one and it's two months free internet time :D

On topic of schools, we had to sign an "Acceptable Use Policy," and it said that depending on what sites we visit, we can get charged? With what? I can understand reprimanding someone for looking at porn, but charging them criminally? Isn't that lack of free speech?
