Cloudy's Cafe

Come in, be welcome, be comfortable, be yourself

Welcome to Cloudy's Cafe, a place to have a cup of coffee or a good
darjeeling and the finest in conversation and camaraderie.

The proprietor asks that you follow a few simple guidelines:

this is a real conversation zone, not a role-play zone

[i]* no flaming; if you disagree with a viewpoint expressed by any patron, please do so in a civil manner
* any topic is fair game, but keep posts to the standards that Ziroc has set for the entire forum, please (ie: foul language is not appropriate and things should be suitable for all audiences)
-a side note from Cloudy: I see this as a place for those short
conversations about a new baby or the latest soccer fiasco, not for things that are big enough to warrant their own threads, by all means give those things the space they need and post separately!
* Please, no one word or smiley posts (Ziroc has declared them 'real spam' and the proprietor doesn't want the reputuation of "good spam" to suffer!)
* do feel free to be serious or silly and enjoy the company of others while you are here. By all means POST if you have something to say, even to start another topic , we can handle multiple chats, we're a CAFE!!! But be courteous and don't disrupt a conversation just to disrupt it.

Come on in! The bar is stocked with coffees, teas, juices and waters from around the world. And purple napkins, of course!

The lighting is low, the golden oak counters and tables glow with inviting warmth. Near the window, the lighting is brighter, as comfy, plush leather armchairs wait for those who'd like to read a book while relaxing to music or just lazily watch the world go by.

Cloudy,
your hostess [img]graemlins/ladyhearts.gif[/img]

Don't know about everyone else, but I was doing yard work and shopping and enjoying the day with my loved ones yesterday!

Today, I'm off to church in a few minutes, then have some bills to pay and more work in the yard, but it's a BEAUTIFUL day! :D

I've also whomped quite a few Aurilites and Ice Golems in the last few days. I really love IWD2, but it IS tough!

Attalus 10-06-2002 09:16 AM

Is it tough, Cloudy? When that happened in IWD, I exported all my characters and started the game again. Much smoother. :D Hope everyone is well, today.

Just made it from another long night at work. I need to get to bed soon. But I usally check out the forum before I hit the sack. But I just noticed the baby is in my spot again. I guess the couch will have to do for know.

I also noticed the logo as changed to escape. This must have happend last night.

Cloudy have a good time at church.

And yuk bills.

Ar-Cunin 10-06-2002 11:40 AM

Still 5 more days until IWD2 get to Denmark

"I WANT MY IWD2!"

Attalus 10-06-2002 12:22 PM

LOL, Ar-Cunin, it's been out a few weeks here, and I still haven't bought it. ;)

True_Moose 10-06-2002 12:25 PM

There there Ar-Cunin. I don't even have enough money to buy it yet.

I just love quiche for breakfast. *yum* Especially when someone else has made it.

So far, I have browsed only the front section of the newspaper; nothing really noteworthy so far. Well, except for Ari Fleischer comparing the relative costs of a one-way ticket and a bullet versus a war, but I'm not going to go there today.

Otherwise, since Belle is going to leave me, I'll just watch my taped episodes of Push, Nevada and double-check my solutions for the weekly clues.

Hey guys. today was a bit...different.
I was jogging down my road when a car came round the corner. As it came near me, it swerved onto the pavement and I had to jump into someone's front garden (and a bush, ouch) to avoid being introduced to the windshield. This is not an exageration; the car was going very fast and would have hit me if I hadn't dived. By the time I had got up, the bastard had driven off!!! Didn't even stop to see how I was! Thank god, I was not injured beyond a nasty bruise from the bush, but still, it was a close call. I'm still a bit shaky, and I can't sit still for a long amount of time. :(

Downunda 10-06-2002 03:01 PM

Why does that sort of thing always happen to you Hor? Perhaps the guy didn't see you or maybe he had a wife in labour in the back seat or he could've been a bank robber making a speedy getaway? :D

Seriously though, I'm sorry to hear that and I hope you get to meet up with the guy and see what he has to say for himself ;)
