Help, I'm trying to send an e-mail to a friend in Japan and my mails keep getting sent back to me :(
Friend@d1.dion.net.jp is the address (with my friends name where it says "friend" ;) ) and I'm sure that I have it right but it keeps telling me that "@d1.dion.net.jp" is not something or other??? :D sorry, I deleted the thing |
Erm, you mean that it claims that the subnet @d1.dion.net.jp doesn't exist?
|
Yeah, that's what it says ;)
|
Well, then it's simple I suppose... It doesn't exist. Or it was temporarily down when you were sending that e-mail. Are there any other ways of reaching him so you can ask him? MSN, AIM, ICQ, messageboards...?
|
ahkay. Just slap me silly and call me stupid :D
I must have got something wrong in the address ;) Does upper and lower case matter? As for other ways of reaching her, I will have her phone number in a few days but she is currently on her way home over the Pacific somewhere and I was hoping to e-mail her for when she arrived but s'ok |
I don't think e-mailadresses are case sensitive, no... Oh well.
|
Thanks anyways Groj ;)

The domain IS sometimes case sensitive; but in this case, a quick domain check (copy paste into browser) revealed that d1.dion.net.jp is indeed set up for mail.
Do you happen to remember who the mail was from ?? If it was postmaster@d1.dion.net.jp ; it means that you got the Friend bit wrong. If it was anything else, most likely d1.dion.net.jp was down for mailing when you tried it |
Yeah, it was the postmaster. I'll have to doublecheck it but I'm like positive it was spot on *shrugs*
Thanks Lennon ;) |
