I'd say a couple years. I don't know why, it's just a gut feeling I have. In all honesty, I don't see it lasting forever ;)

Normal lifespan of a board doesn't go beyond 10 years or so!@
Most die even quicker... so do the math yourself...

I doubt it's even possible to make predictions about the lifespan of a board, especially as the entire phenomenon of message boards is only what? 4, 5 years? old... Technically it's most likely older, but in those days there was only a fraction of the people around on the Internet who are online nowadays. It's a new phenomenon, and its longterm success is still hard to predict.
