Hm. If guilty, let it be done. Rape is a terrible offense, only second to murder. Or maybe murder is second, as the victim has to live after the rape.

Yeah well with all the 'Holly and Jessica' episode thats happened over here in the UK I do agree that these types of people should be executed, im all for ti but not for hanging or electrocution, a needle will do just fine. I know that people say they should be hurt for what they did but hurting the perpetrator isnt any kind of justice and wont solve anything.

I agree, a quick snap on the back of the neck will do. shouldnt torture them, but shouldnt let their crimes go unanswered.

Last night on TV i heard that there is a discussion going on if they should bring back the deathpenalty or not here in Holland. I'm all for it.

<font color="plum">Ack.....not so, <font color="yellow">250</font>. It is probably the MOST painful method still in use. The original "jolt" does not always kill, so the criminal must be "zapped" again sometimes.

Practically any other method (short of crucifixion) is quicker and less painful.

Hanging - the rope can be positioned so that the neck is snapped instantly.
Firing Squad - I saw some documentary footage of Nazi officers being executed after Nuremburg. Very quick.
Lethal Injection - the criminal is given a sedative first, so that they "drift off to sleep" before the toxic dose is administered.

If I were ever faced with such a choice, electrocution would be my LAST choice. (Old Age would be my first ;) ).</font>
