I think that since they're done with the BG series that anyone involved with the creation of Anomen (or as I call him, Annoy-man) should be forced to sit at their computers waiting for Anomen to speak as we play our games and then have to listen to EXACTLY what we would want to say to Anomen, instead of the multiple choice responses we're given.. and then reply to us in Anomen-style. For example: When Anomen wants to talk about his poor pitiful childhood RIGHT AFTER JAHEIRA HAS BEEN CURSED, I don't want to say, "That must have been hard for you, Anomen." I want to say, "You IDIOT! Are you so lost in your own self-pity that you didn't see some guys just teleport in here and curse Jaheira?? She actually kills things and is the only one who's gonna bring your lazy-ass back to life if you die because you were lost in a daydream and forgot to fight, because I sure as hell am not going to pay for it, you arrogant bastard. The only reason you're here is because I have needs as a woman and I don't want them fulfilled by a nutcase with a miniature giant space hamster that he would probably invite along for a threesome, got it?" [Insert real-time reply from anyone who had anything to do with the creation of Anomen]

That would make being a female lead much, much more satisfying.

On another note.. should a kensai always fight with either 2 swords or a 2-handed sword since they can't use shields, or is there some benefit to adding proficiency to single-weapon style fighting w/o a shield?

I would like to emphasize how distressing it is that the only female pc/male npc romance I can have is ANOMEN! Why ANYONE would think that ANY WOMAN would seriously want to settle down with that pole-up-the-bum is beyond me. I gave the romance a shot but quickly realised what a weak-willied wet blanket that IDIOT is. Anyway, when I play with Kensais, I always put profs in Katanas and Single Weapon style. They become real killer-machines that way. [img]smile.gif[/img] But they are good with Two-Handed Sword too. ;) </font>

Have your kensai>mage wield balduran's sword and/or dakkon's zerthblade and/or celestial fury and wear the robe of vecna. These items are obtainable and/or purchasable early in the game, so it's the closest thing to legal cheating. [img]graemlins/biglaugh.gif[/img]

Anomen is arrogant and self-rightous, but after he's upgrade he does become a powerful character... people who played him for a long time would definitely have noticed this...

Actually, they are working on a mod to add to the game that will give you a romance with Valygar. I don't know if they are done with it yet...

LOL good one!! as for kensais im playing one now with my friend and he complains all the time cuz i kill everything, i put 4 in katanas and 2 into two weapon style when i started out and he rocks!

This guy is a male NG human sorceror who will romance--and respect--a woman. He also will fight over you with Anomen, much like Viconia/Jaheira/Aerie do over a male PC. Kinda smells like vindication to me. :D

And the mod allows you to finally tell Anomen how you feel about him when the time comes. So if you're one of the ones who just can't stand the guy and want to tell him he isn't have the man Kelsey is, you can do so.
