I use Morpheus to download patches for games etc. I double clicked on this patch to download and it started to download. It was a 45,446 KB file. It was up to 99% then it finished. BUT the download isn't in the "downloaded folder." Also it says that is had completed 45,447 KB. But that means it has finished..but it hasn't! Now it just says Waiting, more hosts needed and next to it,it says 45,447/45,446 KB. Can anyone help me with this!? I don't want to d/l it again because I only have 56k and it takes forever!

Thanks!!!

At the worst case you will have to download the file again otherwise, just do a search and if you find the file again, pause the existing one and then resume again. It should complete but there is a very small chance that it will start all over again. This however, usually happens when a file gets towards it's end. If it was segmenting it slows down as it kicks all the segments off and sticks to one user. This increases the chances of you file to be remotely queued, need more sources etc, if the particular user who is left for you to download the remainder of the file from, was not able to keep the upload coming to you for long enough to complete the file.

Not sure if this kind of question is allowed to be asked over here, but why not go to the official site and download the patch in question? After all, you *were* downloading a legal patch I assume... Just use a download manager to download the patch in question and you'll be alright.
But a 45 MB patch? Wow, that's some patch.

Don`t use P2P for patches: websites give better download times, and generally don`t cut out in the middle of a transfer.

I had a similar problem with some files I downloaded from Morpheus. The size of the downloaded file was equal to the size of the file, but it still showed incomplete.

Go into Program Files / Morpheus / Partials - your file "should" be stored in there.

But I agree with the others, I would use a regular website for patches. I only use Morpheus for video and audio files.

I've heard of WinMX. Where can I download it?

I have a new system with WindowsXP. Where would I look to find it?

Ahh I tried doing this and it still doesn't work :( It doesn't even appear in chunks or partial folders :(

EDIT: I just had an idea. When you remove a file it goes to the partials folder so If I removed the file I was downloading would it work if I double clicked on the patch? (Which is in a zip. file)

Oh yeah I normally use the official sites to d/l pathces but the link is stuffed.

The patch (in zip) is in my partials. When I double click on it it says:

WINZIP

Cannot open file: it does not appear to be a valid archive.

If you downloaded this file, try downloading the file again.

I'm going to delete Morpheus and get a better program which actually lets you download stuff http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...ons/icon28.gif
