As you have seen, with the search function off, we have not had any downtime at all. And it's FAST!! (It's like it used to be), but I am going to do a test and turn the search function on, and see what happens this time.

I have tinkered with the search settings, so maybe it will work out okay this time. If the board starts locking up, and getting slow, I'll turn it off again and try something else.

Now please, don't everyone go do a search after reading this, that might really put a strain on the cgi! :D

nice one Z it will stop me bumping up the NwN board... for a while neway,
just a suggestion but if the search slows the forum down would it be too hard to have all the archived posts put into alphabetical order etc?at least then we could search manually thru name and age, it might b more hassle but i just noticed on a (wrestling)board my friend goes on.
