This should sound interresting to Sazerac. In a zoo in Beijing is a strange animal born. It's a crossbreed between a lion and a tiger (they call it a liger). The welp has the body of a lion but the fur of a tiger. It happened by accident because of lack of room, they have two lions and three tigers share one cage. Pity there wasn't a pic included, i'm really curious about this cat.

Is this the first time you heard about it?

This is the first time I heard about it. Is this for real or another internet hoax?

Well, I guess its for real. Here's a site with pictures of another liger.

I to would like to see a pic of a liger. Do you know if this animal will be ok, health wise? You would expect it to have genetic problems.

Tigers and Lions are both Big Cats so there not that far apart. horses and DOnkeys can do it (Mules), cats and rabbits can do it (Dunno what you call it but they dont live all that long), so i dont see any reason for it to be impossible

They took the welp away from the mother, and try to raise it themselves. I'm curious if this will work.

Yes it is, otherwise it wouldn't be worth the trouble of starting a thread about it. :D
