figured out for the createitem("book03") book04 05 and 06 create your much needed tomes to increase stats to the max of 25... however there is a problem. those books only cover str, int, dex, and con, book07 and book08 are for your cha, and wisdom.. HOWEVER you are not able to equip either of these 2 books, WHY? i checked the rest of the codes for books from 01 to 98 and they all yeild you a book type around 79 i think was the ancient book, the most useful texts are 10 and under though...

question is this, ive played the game fully and i never got lucky to find the damn cha or wis books, so i figured hell with this gimmie those commands, game was fun now lets see what we can do.. anyway im asking does these 2 books work if you find them in game without cheat codes? if they do then there must be another code for them.. if not anyone know what im doing wrong here?

thanks
Zato

The reason being is that the tomes were in BG1 and they somehow imported into BG2.

I don't think you can find those tomes in BG2.

And if you want to CLUA tomes in BG2, be warned that the Wisdom and Charisma tomes are bugged and will not work! The rest are normal. Wisdom is much more important in BG2, so they probably did this to stop people increasing their wisdom whenever they want.

Using tomes would be considered cheating, so if you really wanna cheat to get better stats, I advice you to just use SK to raise them. Will save you for alot of time. ;) </font>

but the the computer im using never had bd1 on it, there was no importing done on this computer...the clua crap is all thier doing, why the hell should they limit a cheat code? whats the logic in that?

Cause CLUA is more of a debugging tool than a cheatcode. The tomes are in BG2 because the BG1 items were imported wholesale while creating BG2. If you dig around in their you can find Farmer Brun's Son's body, Kirinhails lock of hair and all the other misc items from BG1. Most of them retain their original coding so they work as before, I dont see why the CHA and WIS tomes dont work.

<font color="gold">What Daniel ment is that BioWare imported the tomes to BG2 as cheat-items. They were originally legal items in BG1. ;) </font>
