In your opinions, what is the all-around best *support* character in the game?

For me, the winner is the Skald kit bard. I have one in my current party and he is consistently and constantly useful. Wearing Bard Gloves, Dakkon's Zerth blade for extra spells, mostly spent on summons and "enhancement" spells. His bard song is awesomely useful for my tanks and for whatever disposable allies I have. The Skald has gotten less than a dozen kills in the game (and I'm halfway through ToB!) but he has definitely won the award for single most useful character in the party.

Skald wouldn't be my choice to solo the game with but he's definitely in my top picks as a support character. If only there was an NPC Skald with a real personality...

Hmm, my Skald, Sanelise, is usefull only for her 180 lore.. Other than that I am considering getting reid of her...I rarely use the Bard song and her spells aren't that varied at 14th or 15th lvl...I have her dual wielding Celestial Fury and Flail of Ages and most of the time she kicks butt, but more often I am having to raise dead..no I don't use her as a tank...but damn..Viconia lasts longer than her...

My skald is kicking but. But my Paladin Cavalier Jorlon, has criticals of 65-78 damage. and he normally does 20-50!!!
