Having a great big one right at this moment, it's raining so hard outside that you can't see far at all!

And yes, I still have my PC switched on - I am surrounded by tall buildings with lightning conductors so the chance of my lines getting hit is minimal ;)

I love them too. It's like beholding nature at it's most violent. Still, they can get abit scary when one is right over the house, and a thunderclap shakes the very foundations.

Lightning is also irritating to me at night. You see, my bed is parralel with a large window/balcony on one side, and a mirror on another. If I face the window, lightning flashes blind me at night, when my eyes are accustomed to the darkness. (Believe me, it HURTS!) If I turn over, I cop the lightning anyway, as it bounces off the mirror.

Saw a newsreel of the recent tornado attack in Michigan(?), USA. Real fascinating. And I can imagine they must be real terrifying to look at too when you're there in person.

I really enjoy running around on the hill behind my house waving a large pole, meatal or wood whatever comes to hand, above my head until I fall over or just siting under a near by tree and enjoy the show.

Pretty ironic that I just find this thread, as i live in Michigan, and we are having a pretty good lighting storm at the moment. LOL

Yes I love a good storm, natures raw fury, and power is awsome to watch.

Well, coming from Texas (in Tornado Alley) thunderstorms are not to suprising when they occur here. We had one a few months ago in spring where a funnel cloud went right over the house and there was a small tornado outbreak in north Dallas. Do you get tornadoes in England or is it just in the U.S.?

Well living in Central coast of CA. we never get any good storms..I was born and grew up back in Cleve.Oh and boy we had some good ones back there...Kinda miss the really good hard rain and thunder!!But..seeing how I have to work outside pouring concrete I sure don't want to see them anymore..
